Jesus replied, "What is impossible with men is possible with God."
(Luke 18:27).
We started writing our faith goals and it is surprising how one can be full of hope if he is with the Lord. Improbable and Impossible are words that have been re-defined for me when I forged a relationship with Christ.
For nothing is impossible with God.
(Luke 1:37)
My wife Mia and I wrote a lot... as in lot! Mine was about 30 and Mia's was so much more.. and she has not even finished it up to now. My wife has no faith issues, haha!
Let me share you 15 of my faith goals...
1) A thriving career as an indepedent speaker/trainer --
2009 will be a critical year for me as I step in to the forray outside the corporate realm. This industry is highly competitive and I will be a very small fish in a very big pond. There are some who think that this is a very risky move on my part because of the looming economic crisis and many think it is crazy to be unemployed in times like this. Leap of faith indeed.
2) To be truly debt free -- one can't experience absolute financial freedom if one is not absolutely debt free.
3) A healthy cashflow -- being an independent (no fixed salary) will really test our budgeting skills.
4) A Macbook -- I was not a big
fan of Mac prior to being a member of VCF. There's something with VCF and Macs. Further, I will need a laptop of my own for my 2009 goals.
5) An out of the country trip with Mia -- being away with my wife, just the 2 of us! Being away with my wife is one of the best experiences for me. We will be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary so this will be a nice gift for the two of us. Sorry kids, you can stay home for a few days without us.
6) Weekly speaking/training engagements -- I got a lot of things to say and to teach, I pray there will be venues for me to do so.
7) Start & finish my book -- 2009 will give me enough time to write a book and I think I am ready.
8) Own column at Philippine Star or Inquirer -- I love writing, I am praying for a venue where more people can read what I write.
9) My small group/ministry -- I must remember not just to Honor God, but also to make Disciples. I envision a small group where my wife and I can help them establish a closer relation with God through Jesus; and a ministry to reach out to those who are going through financial difficulties. We believe that the Lord wants each and everyone of his creation to live a life of victory. An environment where one can experience God's blessings through proper stewardship is a desire that has been placed upon me.
10) My children as Youth Leaders -- my wife and I are so happy that our children also have Jesus in their hearts. So many of our youth are lost and the only way for them to be redeemed is for them to know the Lord. Go kids!
11) Growth for Marine Hub -- a business venture of mine with 4

other great partners; we have big plans for this business. If you are into marine aquariums or you would want to have one, Marine Hub is your best source for everything (located at Metrowalk).
12. Growth for Income-Tacts.com -- Efren Cruz and I founded this forum with the vision of providing financial education to FIlipinos through an on-line community. In less than a year, we have about 2000 members but I am praying for this forum to reach 5,000 in 2009. Visit Income-Tacts! .

13. Growth for Quick Plate Catering -- this is a business of my wife and my sister-in-law Lynne. These ladies have managed to grow this company from scratch and I am praying for more blessings for them. I must also accept that Mia is a better entreprenuer than I am.
14. More time for VCF Greenhills -- serving my church has been a great endeavor for me. Seeing more people get saved (kids, youth, adults) is a such a big desire in my heart. I am praying to be able to do more work for our church as we advance His Kingdom. Besides, I love my Church!
15. A deeper relationship with my wife and kids. -- enough said.

There are more in my list but I've been told by my friends that I write really long blogs so I'll leave it at 15.
In the end, all of these goals, no matter how grandiose or trivial they may be, must bring glory to God. All the accomplishements, achievements, money and activities will be for naught if they are not done so for His glory.
Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed
his seal of approval."
(John 6:27)
